About the project
Aker BP is a pure-play exploration and production company within oil and gas, operating on the Norwegian continental shelf.
We delivered, in collaboration with Melvær&Co, stands at ONS 2022 and 2024 that not only reflected their core business - but also an offensive company that is proud to work for radical improvements, contribute to Europe's energy security and at the same time create value for both shareholders and Norway.
Our role
Melvær&Co was responsible for the overall message and concept, and together we developed the stand's layout and practical solutions. In addition, we ensured the construction of a two-story building, which provided space for both plenary presentations, a mingling area and meetings with smaller delegations.
The building structure itself, with its round shape, has drawn inspiration from the same symbol as AkerBP's logo; an oil barrel. The materials and color choices reflect both the company's industrial roots, an emphasis on digital improvements, and a proud and offensive organizational culture.
The Result
AkerBP experienced successful trade fair days with bustling activity at the stand. With eye-catching and unconventional design features, the stand received a lot of attention, and was nominated for «Best Stand Award» both in 2022 and 2024. In addition, the concepts and success at ONS created pride and energy in the organization – long after the fair was over.
With pink t-shirts and industrial material choices, Aker BP seeks attention as self-proclaimed rebels in action. The stand is eye-catching and provocative at the same time. The stand crew shows that they are a united team working for the common goal of delivering.
There is a very high level of activity at the stand booth, similar to the company's development projects on the Norwegian continental shelf. They also allow themselves to play with this year's ONS theme Imagine in a slightly provocative way with the message "We don't imagine. We act!"
