Interactive solutions is about more than technology alone. It is used to make complex products, services and messages easier to understand, more engaging to experience and more relevant to the target audience.
We spoke with our new department manager at NPG Interactive, Adrian Lervåg Skår, about interactive solutions, game technology and how this creates value for both companies and brands.
What solutions do you develop for our customers?
We develop interactive solutions that help our customers make products, services and messages more understandable and engaging.
This includes everything from touchscreen solutions and iPad applications to advanced VR simulations and real-time visualization. The common denominator is that we use gaming technology to create top-notch visual experiences.

What is the most common challenge our customers want to solve with interactive solutions?
Many of our clients have complex products or services that can be difficult to explain with just words or static images. The most common challenge is the need to simplify the complex.
Through interactivity, we allow the end user to explore the product at their own pace, see details under the hood, or visualize large systems in a way that is both educational, intuitive, and aesthetically pleasing. This makes it easier to create understanding, relevance, and a better experience of the content.
What is a typical workday for you?
In my role as Head of Interactive, my workday involves being the link between our customers, the sales team and our skilled project managers, developers and designers. This involves everything from concept development and technical advice to monitoring the production process to ensure that we deliver solutions that create value for the customer and push the boundaries of what is possible in our industry.
How do we ensure intuitive solutions?
The user experience is always at the center. By involving both salespeople and users early in the process, through workshops and pilot projects, we create a shared understanding of what the solution should be.
The goal is for the salesperson to feel confident in use, even in a busy trade show situation, and for the customer to quickly understand how to use the content. When the solution is intuitive, it also becomes more effective in both communication and sales dialogue.

Gaming technology and interactive solutions make it easier to convey complex messages in a visual and engaging way. Used correctly, the technology can contribute to better customer experiences, clearer communication, and stronger encounters between brands and target groups.
