Do you have a burning desire to implement gamification with Unreal Engine 5 to create tomorrow’s Virtual experiences?

We are looking for someone with a broad knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 and blueprints. A good understanding of the technical aspects of lighting and environment building is a plus. We offer a position where research & development is one of the cornerstones and you will be able to use a lot of time to create things that you think will be the next creative solution for our customers. Our projects are often displayed at exhibitions around the world with VR, AR or touch displays. We are aiming to connect physical machines to the animations to take the experience to the next level.

Here at NPG we also have a Green Screen Virtual Studio that allows us to combine UE5 with physical cameras and lights for a full virtual production setup. Our goal is to give our customers innovative experiences that they didn’t think was possible. The work takes place in close dialogue with 3D designers, developers, videographers and other creative employees.

What are the role responsibilities?

Responsibility for development and delivery for our largest customers around the world.

You will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge from UE5 to more technical combinations of hardware from different customers.

Material Creation

User Interface Design (UMG)
Animation Integration
Client/Server Replication

What are the work assignments?

Idea and concept development, planning and implementation of projects
Learn and expand existing state based machines in blueprints
Leverage existing Epic and marketplace content to expediate development
Develop prototypes of interactivity in AR using Meta’s project templates
Develop prototypes of interactivity in VR using Unreal Engine’s templates
Basic modification of 3D assets (separation of meshes, exporting, UV mapping, etc)
Create cinematic level sequences to tell the client’s stories in an engaging way
Build user interfaces and custom Widget Blueprints that work with mouse and touchscreen
Sculpt landscapes and populate with appropriate materials and foliage

What are we looking for?

Good communication skills in English or Norwegian/Swedish
Bachelor/Masters in Computer Science/Software Engineering
Knowledge/experience working with scrum project management principles
Knowledge/experience developing using the Model, View, Controller software design pattern
2+ years Unreal Engine 4/5 experience
Worked on an Unreal Project that has been released on Steam, app store, etc.
Basic Image (textures) editing and video editing
Knowledge of MIDI, SDI, motion tracking and DMX is a plus
